Color consistency between bodies

How do you manage color consistency between bodies if you have a 2 or more camera set up? I was able to manage the difference between the 7D and 5D3... but I since sold the 7D. Between the 5D mk iii and mk ii, I'm noticing a bigger difference in colors. Mkii colors seem less punchy.

Do you folks manage this in post or do you try to sync up in-camera settings? I shoot both in RAW.

You could generate custom DNG profiles using the likes of a ColorChecker passport to ensure colour consistency between bodies.

I myself shoot only in Raw, so whatever color "tweaking" happens in the Raw converter...

Adobe does camera "profiles" but the specifics will vary. It's up to you to provide the "tweaks"!

Or use Adobe Standard which should give an almost identical result to making your own profiles. Frankly it'll probably be even better unless you have ISO standard lighting to create your own dual illuminant profile with.

There are also raw converters on the market that permit you to apply the camera profile of camera Y to raw data from camera X. Capture One and DXO, for example.
