From the beautiful and serene Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These few rocks are called Battleship Row, for an obvious reason.

Nice shot. Was this taken from a boat? Did you think of using a polarizing filter? It would take some of the reflection off the water, darken the blue sky, and make other colors more vibrant.

Yes, from a boat, with an old MF lens.

I don't like CPLs. I have one but almost never use it anymore.

I could lower the amount of glare on the water in post.

As to the sky... It's easy enough to make the blues richer and darker, but it would be an overkill. The paler skies are much more representative of the real conditions.

I think I'd rather see the reflection of the sky as we have it here, than the green that the water would become with a CPL.

too much chop on the water for a reflection, polarizer or not. But I like the composition.

Everyone's interpretation as how they would like to see it, is subjective.. There is no wright or wrong, just a matter of what one's perspective is.

The Op prefers it more natural in which he seen and remembers it. Joe prefers more vibrance, Frank is in agreement with Op.. and that is all cool...no wright or wrong..

It sounds like Chris would like to see a longer exposure to smooth out the water.. Nothing wrong with his perspective either

However, ultimately it comes down to Op's ( owner of image ) interpretation...

Maybe a good thread here on POTN would be to post a image challenge, and everyone give there interpretation on how they would like to present it..
No dought, there will be many different interpretations, with everyone's own individual spin on it.

Nice capture amamba !!
