I'm a little bit of a proud daddy... so I have to show off my daugther.

All were taken with my S2 IS. And I'm a bit of a photo newbie in the technical sense (just started using Tv instead of P mode a couple weeks ago) so CC welcome.

Pic #1- Molly's 2 days old here and still at the hospital. Just natural sunlight from the window because the flash was bothering her a little.

Pic #3- Right after getting a bath. We call this one "The Sherbert Baby"

Beautiful baby. You handled the newborn photos very well. They can be really difficult. These look quite good. Colors are bright, photo is sharp. The only issue I see is with #1 - it could use some more light on the face. I suspect the white threw the metering off.

lisa1969 - Thank you and your very welcome.

dazzlebea - Thanks. Yeah... poor girl is going to have a terrible cowlick.

Honestly...I started taking pictures at a hockey game in Tv to freeze the action and stuck with it. Hadn't even thought about using Av it until you mentioned it. I'll try using it this weekend.

Titus213 - Thank you. And your right on about them being difficult... She doesn't want to sit still for long for some reason. :) I don't even want to think about how much it would have cost if I was using film. I'll play with #1 a bit and see what I can do.

Congratulations! She is so beautiful, wow she is already smiling at 2 days old! I can see why you like pic 4, a sleeping baby is so adorable.

Congrats on your new little cutie pie. I have a feeling we will be watching her grow here on the forum. :) At least, I hope so.

Congrats on your little addition. You'd better get plenty of storage space because if you are anything like me the only thing you will be holding these days is either Molly her mother or your camera :) I've got over 10 gigs of pics and mine is only 3 weeks old

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words. We're not quite sure what to do with all of that hair... it seems to have a mind of it's own. People think she gets her hair from me for some strange reason.

You're way ahead of me Thornfield... I've only taken 10.2GB in 6 weeks.

I tried lightening up #1 a little last night... but I just can't get it to look right. I can only succeed in bringing out the yellow from where she had a case of jaundice. I'll take another crack at it tonite.
