I ain't sure if this is the right section to post this, but I have some photos with blueish snow.

How do i make them white? I am using Photoshop CS6 and have tried to find the settings and Googled it.But I haven't achieved any meaningful results.

Well, a quick "try" would be in Camera Raw, using the White Balance tool and selecting the snow to turn it white...if you are shooting jpegs, though, you'd likely use one of the Adjustment layers in the Photoshop editor.

I don't have the Camera Raw version and I have tried to alter the "levels" in the new adjustment layer, but I am not getting the desired effect.

If you have CS6 then you have Camera Raw.

I always make my initial adjustments in Lightroom (Adobe RAW) but, Image>Adjustments>Color Balance is how I do minor tweaks if necessary in Photoshop.

I should have added that if, for example, your snow is too blue but everything else seems good, you can adjust the color balance of just the highlights to fix the snow.

I'm not sure I follow. I'm struggling and could you imagine I know absolutely nothing about photography when it comes to giving me advice :). Because that's literally how much I know, the only thing I know is the feeling of when and where is a good place for photos.

I've added a photo, maybe you can screenshot me an example of what i should do step by step? I've tried to read additional guides, but I think I am doing it right...

:)

I don't know if I improved it, but essentially I went into Photoshop and grabbed the color cyan. I lowered the saturation and raised the brightness of just that color. Then I did it with the blue.

I also lowered the highlights, raised the shadows, and outlined it in black instead of white.

Your first issue is that you need to learn how to open and use Adobe Camera RAW. When you installed CS6, it should have also installed Adobe Bridge. If it did not you should re-insert the disc and install it. Once you find Bridge and open it, navigate to your photos. If you right-click on a photo, third option down should say "open in Camera Raw...". click that and camera raw will open. Now, and this is important, go to youtube and search for "white balance adjustment in camera raw". Watch a video.

Bob

BTW- That photo has way too much noise in it to do much with. The small details and the noise are about the same size so you're not going to save it.

The snow isn't blue. What you have is the shadows are filled with reflections of the blue sky, & that's natural.
