Hmmm, but are you sure those fedex labels on the boxes don't say smartpost or have two barcodes on them, one fedex and one usps. cause thats what is inside those bags I deilver...

CaptainSteve, I just checked the box and it does have a USPS barcode, so that would account for the extra delivery time. So, this is the Smartpost delivery service folks are talking about.

Thanks for the info.

Slow like a turtle. It is almost like the package is delayed on purpose. 5 days to ship from Brooklyn to Eastern Pa.
Adorama. .. Ordered a lens Wed... got it Thur...

Totally agree this ==> It is almost like the package is delayed on purpose.

Just order some items from B&H, and it took 8 days to ship from NY to CA!

Fedex is horrible. They have almost always missed delivery dates for me. Plus, I find the UPS people much more friendly. They will come to my door and kind of talk for a few moments. The Fedex people just show up... look at you like "I hate my job", get you to sign, then just leave. I think BH should go back to UPS :P

Same experience for me with Fedex guys.
Fedex delivered damaged packages to me around 2 out of 10 times. Most of the time, they just threw the packages over the fence and on the cement driveway, then drove away.
If I came out at the right time to pick up, then they give me the "I hate my job" look as Ratjack mentioned above.
