Soooo, my 6d arrived and I'm coming over from a 7D. I loved my 7D, but my photo interests have changed, hence the reasons for the upgrade. For anyone else that has made this move, how long did it take you to adjust? I just wanna give it fair shake before I judge. Also, what's the best way to sell off my 7D and a few lenses? Here, ebay, other? Any input is appreciated.

Are you referring to the controls? I would think that the 6D's simplified control layout should make it easy to learn, coming from a7D.

As for selling, I first try CL and if I can't sell after a while, I'll go through eBay.

Been trying to sell my 7D in the UK for the last week. Peoples comments? "Is it true that it's troubled by noise issues?" Really? Is that the rumour flying about? crikey.

Well, I'd love to keep my 7D, but a) the wife will kill me, b) that is part of being able to afford my refurb 6D. I'll keep my 40D, that thing owes me nothing and I'll get no money for it anyways. I'll get used to new button placement. Tomorrow I'll put it through its paces. So far, so good!

Center point focus only was where I found myself with the 6d. That does take some getting used to. Others may have had better luck, but my outer AF points didn't inspire me with confidence, seemed to hunt a lot more. Now I'm just flush with crackin AF points

Never had a problem with the AF. The outer points are slower but are generally accurate. Only time I miss the 7D's AF is when using AI Servo.
I found the depth of field difficult to get used to, situations where in the 7D you can get away with f5.6, often need f8 in full frame. However on the plus side you can get plenty of bohek with a 2.8 zoom, without having to go for f1.4 primes as you do on a crop.
Also the ISO performance is a good 2 stops better on the 6D. What this means is that you can lose the hesitation to raise ISO. Hell ISO 400 looks pretty much as good as ISO 100 on the 7D. ISO 12800 is about as good as ISO 4000 on the 7D!

Keep it. The 7D does a few things better than the 6D and even the 5D3 for that matter. Nothing beats it for wildlife and sports. Get a 70-200mm 2.8. It'll be a great portrait/event lens on the 6D and a sports lens in the 7D.
And btw go with eBay for camera sales, Craigslist is full of tightarse bargain hunters you'll never get a fair price.

Personally I'd just sell it on eBay.
Sold (and bought) a lot of items via eBay and never had a problem.
