Nov 25, 2013 16:08 | #2 The bright blue sky in the first picture is very distracting...it really takes away from the image. Not only is it very bright, but it cuts right through his head. Perhaps a warmer white balance would lessen the distraction, but I just don't think this picture will ever be great.

The height difference between them doesn't let them connect naturally for the photo. If she was on her toes, that would create a pose where she is trying to close that gap. 1D-III with stuff to stick on it:
