Advice/comments on B&W please

I had originally done this in color and out of curiosity decided to try it in black and white. What do you think? I don't know that much about black and white photos, so wanted to know what to look for. Thanks! :)

Very, very well done. I think he/she has a charming face, and the exposure, compensation and pose are very good and very interesting. My only suggestion would be to remove one of the two catch-lights in each eye. Only one catch-light is needed for reality.

The conversion to Grayscale was successful!

Ahhh, I didn't think about the extra catch lights in the eyes. Thanks! I'll go back and change that. Oh, it's a "she". :) She's a little over 10 months old now.
