Portraits in the Studio w/Myself & Hubbie

Critiques welcome. I think there is a little too much shadowing, but some people like that much shadow. Thoughts?

This one was really tricky. Had run into the shot and then throw a ball. I am out of scale and up too close but considering we had our dogs in the photo, I am happy with it overall.

I think the photos are fine, but I dislike the blue background a lot. It makes it look very 1970's to me. I'd go with a different background. The shadows doesn't bother me at all. Post a photo or two here if you want a more in-depth critique.
