Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Family Activities. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

For us in the USA, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday.. Usually this means large family gathering, lots of food, generally a Turkey cooked in a variety of ways, football.. games and generally a good time. There are a lot of jokes in the USA about large family gatherings and how they can go wrong or right! Anywaaaay.. Show us some family activities!

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here:IMAGE POSTING RULES

That's it! Have fun! . As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

For the past few Christmases, decorating a gingerbread house was our after-dinner project. We all helped and had fun.:)

Ron -- Gingerbread train. I haven't seen those. Several cars or engine only?

Oh yes! Engine and 1 cargo car! I will try to find the pic. Turned out great! My four year old son was into trains last year.

I love all the family activities! Funny, but this year no family in my activities. ...and very few activities.
I helped cook for the first time in more than 6 months. I BBQ'd some Turkey and made stuffing. That was a bench mark for me.

I went out to celebrate an 80th birthdate today. I had not seen these friends for more than 8 months and it was a big surprise for them, so now I know I'm on the mend.

No I'm not near 80, but I do hope to get there ;)

Barbara: How fun!! That would be a huge hit in my house. I may just have to do that this year. :D

Crissa: I love family games, what fun and that kiss shot is very cute.

John: YUM!!!

Every year our family and friends get together and we brand calves, the weekend after Thanksgiving.
(This is my favorite shot from this weekend.)

Hey Stina, great DOF in that shot. I'm going to assume that is your son.
