I recently bought 4 Yongnuo RF-603 transceivers to upgrade from my Yongnuo RF-602s. I'm using a Canon 6D and I have 4 Yongnuo YN460-II flashes. My problem is that I can't get these transceivers to fire my flashes. When I have one in the hotshoe with the cable connected to the camera and transceiver, I can fire the camera with another transceiver with no problem. Why can't I fire any of my flashes?

I've installed new batteries and have tried the transceivers on multiple channels. I've also tried with each of my flashes with no luck. All help is appreciated!

I only use these flashes in manual mode. They still don't work. I can't possibly have 4 defective transceivers.

Just to be sure, as Brea stated, you're not in S1 or S2 mode.

I'm trying to use them in manual mode. I've also tried to use the other modes just to try and get them to work. Nothing is getting them to fire.

I recently had this issue with that same/similar set up (all Yongnuo) on a 5DMK2. It was really strange because only one worked, then none.. It ended up working when I powered and fired them one at a time. There are no other buttons than the on/off switch, which is what baffled me for a second.

Try that and see if it works, rotate them (receiver/transmitter) if needed. This is what worked for me.

So you had some defective transceivers? I've tried multiple setups rotating flashes and transceivers at different times. I still haven't had any luck.

Check to make sure that all the units are on the same channel. The channel DIP switches are inside the battery compartment. Make sure they all match. I've had one that I thought was defective, and this ended up fixing it.

This is my first thought too. They all have to be on the same channel.

I've never gotten my 603s to activate my camera AND fire my flashes at the same time. It's like it can only send one signal at a time and if it is plugged into your camera with a cable, that is the only signal it will send: trigger shutter.

Would be interesting to know if it is possible.

I've used mine as both before. I had 2 flashes setup, each with a RF603, one on the camera hotshoe, also connected with the shutter release cable, and one in my hand as the shutter release. Everything worked fine.

That's exactly what I was hoping to do with these transceivers.

And they are all on the same channel and placed in the hotshoe correctly. This is driving me crazy.

No custom function. I'm just trying to get them to work in manual mode. I still haven't gotten them to work. I think I have some new paper weights. :(
