How classic can you get......upside down nuthatches in the snow, well shot? Well shot!

One of mine as well. This guy was up & down the tree, no way I was going to get a shot, little while later he decided to 'pose' for me, just sat there until I was done, unbelievalbe (but true):cool: Thanks grizzerbear!

More great shots Cheryl. The White Breasted and Red Breasted Nuthatches are daily visitors to my suet feeders year round. They take seeds on occasion, but seem to prefer the suet.

We only get this variety here SJ & I so enjoy seeing them. I agree with your comment on 'feed', they do love the suet. Thanks for your comments. :)

I can't recall seeing the red breasted here Jeff, will have to keep my eyes peeled, maybe I just never paid enough attention to 'detail' :)

Yesterday I shot in RAW because I figured I could fix exposure problems easier... the nuthatch seemed to blend right in with the snow.
