This morning, after my night shift, I went home for one hour of sleep . It was not just sleep that screamed for me at home, but also the new stand with my new gimbal head . For it was time for some photography.

It was a wonderful hour I got to spend in bed but then it was just to pack up the stuff and go . I had two hours to shoot, my partner stops namely her job at lunchtime.

2 hours was enough for me. At first it did not look good when the sun disappeared behind the clouds and it started blowing like hell . But one advantage I had with me, now I own a lens with better aperture and it did helped me for the few minutes that the clouds appeared.

At the car park, it is a large buffet table for the birds and I took the opportunity to get some close-ups so I 'll see if the lens' largest aperture is good and I can't help it, I can just smile when I see the pictures. (PICTURE 1 & 2 - Great Tits ) at f/2.8

I took a walk around the hill before it was time to take the car around the area. What a difference it is now when winter is coming comparing to the spring and summer when there are hundreds of species here. Now, I can be happy if I can see 10 different species. One species that I have never been able to successfully attach the picture is Great Grey Shrike but now it was finally time . Along the wooden poles in the dirt road it flew then this little bird gave me a few extra seconds before it was time to fly. This picture also shows that the focus of the lens is in its proper place , the Sigma is well known for many years to have problems with back & front focus but my copy , which is certainly in professional bunch , is super sharp and complete without problems. (PICTURE 3 - Great Grey Shrike ) .

On the same road but further away , I saw a large bird sitting in the tree top but I could not see what species it was until I came so close that I had to take (PICTURE 4), which is one of all the SEA EAGLES in the area.

I turned back towards the car park where I was earlier in the morning and get to see something go over the road. In the distance It reminded me of this one HORNY female cat , they 're really licked the ground when they want to show that they are ready for mating but this was not a female cat. It was (PICTURE 5-6 - HEN PHEASANT) . One more new species in my archive. What a day so far and it would not stop here.

It was 20 minutes left, before I would go off to my partner's job and I took a chance to go past a place where birders usually tend to stand with their binoculars. Before I came to this place , I knew what they were looking for , even I , it was namely the known EAGLETREE that is so visible from this place and I took the opportunity to get some good pictures from far away and this time on the stand, perfect! , then I can use the cable release to reduce shakiness even though I have image stabilization on the lens. Effective 2 hours with 2 new species on the picture :) A great day simply.
I'm extremely happy with my new set of camera and lens. Sorry for my English.
