** Read this on another site, and thought it might be of interest to others here.. A lot of positive feed back from others in the thread about Green~Toe... I still recommend you to do your do diligence before any purchase**

So im not sure where to post this but it can be moved.

I just wanted to tell my experience i had with Greentoe.com and how they helped me to purchase a 24-70 MKII for practically $1520.

Greentoe is basically a reverse auction type site where you put in an offer of what you would be willing to pay for an item. OTHER Companies will see that offer and decide to accept or not and then you get it for that price.

Well here is how the deal works... its about $1520 after rebates, coupon code, and rewards

1. go to greentoe website...
2. go to make an offer / sign in/ sign up
3. put in $2000 as your offer for the 24-70 MK II (you want to do $2000 because the coupon code works on orders of $2000 or more)
4. Enter the coupon code "welcome100" - no space no quotes
5. Enter your card info and wait for the authorized retailer to accept the offer and charge your card.
6. When your lens comes in, don't forget to do the canon lens rebate.

Here are the rebates

Price of lens: $2000
Canon Lens rebate: -$300
GT Coupon code: -$100
4% Reward from retailer: - $80
--------
TOTAL: $1520

Here are some FAQ's

The websites that accept your offer are all authorized retailers... like adorama or bhphotovideo
Everything is brand new!

1. Does it come with a receipt from the authorized retailer for warranty and rebate purposes?

Yes... the item will be shipped from the retailer that accepted and how they would normally ship and package items. they will send you an email confirmation with order number and everything you need to know.

2. If you were not directed to the retailers website to log into your account and pay from there, how will you get the 4% rewards credited to you?

They will email you your reward information. Note, in this case, the reward is to use at that store. I'm not sure how other stores do it.
