Depending on what I am doing, I will set the time and let the camera do the f value. If it is dust, it should all be the same color right?

I've never actually seen it but I imagine that any dust with a crystalline structure such as salt or sand, given the right angle, might create white spots and black spots. I'm grasping at straws here. I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.
