It didn't seem appropriate at the time but that may have been because I was nervous overall to start with. By the layout, it is obvious the intent is for people to NOT go into that area BUT I bet I could have jumped in and out without leaving a trace or damaging anything. Of course, the guys who cut the grass and trim the trees stand in it. Would you use that thought process?

I would have jumped in the planter with little hesitation, and been careful not to damage anything or leave marks.

Sometime jumping in a planter is not a good idea *LOL*. If you feel something is not appropriate, do not do it.
