I have only been seriously shooting since the fall of '09.

This year I have purchased the least amount of equipment ever. I have talked myself out of almost every purchase I stuck my nose into.
I made one purchase in the early spring on a sale ($200) item and that is it.

A month away from the end of the year and I may be able to hold out...

just a few of my thoughts...

Same here basically. I started photography in Sept. '09. My last major purchase, was my 10-22 in August of '11! Only smaller items since then, such as umbrellas/reflectors, shutter boss, and a few other smallish items.

I'm itching as well, but my wallet says no (until i can sell 2 bodies, and pool that money to a newer purchase).

Edit: Oops, i forgot the Dell LCD monitor i bought in Jan. '12.. that was $400 +thx.

Hmm was looking at a nice Dell computer today for $1k, but don't have the $1k to drop, so...
