Myself and my wife are buying a second camera for several reasons including a backup for my wives future studio work (the 60D will become the backup obviously)..

I'm trying to decide between the 70D, 6D and if there was a ground breaking reason to buy i may decide to go into debt to get the 5D mk3..

Owning the fantastic EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS the 70D is a big contender but at the times when we are both wanting to take photos there is a good likelihood that we may both want the the same focal length so owning a second lens like the 24-105mm f/4.0 L IS to go on a full frame body could be equally useful..

I object to paying £1,800 for a non IS (24-70 2.8) lens especially when the 17-55 IS 2.8 IS is so good..

Opinions please.

Dean.

I just have to ask: how many wives are you planning on? ;)

Studio work? Full frame all the way.

If it's slow paced portraits, 6D will do just fine.

Lets see studio work, cheap way to go low mileage 5D Classic and 24-105mm f4. I have two 5D's
purchased about six months ago both mint priced right. One with grip and four batteries $550. The
other one with 24-105mm and to many extras to list $1,200. Be patient and search and you shall find.

Why would full frame be better for a studio?
