Picked up a Mark I (metal mount) nifty fifty over the weekend. It throws an Err 01 code - Communication Error, Clean contacts.
What is really happening is the aperture blades aren't resetting after the shot is taken. Works fine wide open, but stepping down at all gives the code, but the image is taken.
Other then cleaning the contacts, anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Probably going to open her up, and see if I can see anything unusual (doubt it). There are no rattles or other weird noises, and everything else is just fine on it. No oil on the blades (do they still use oil?) either.
