This Guy was taking a break from the cold Canadian winter and enjoying some time on North Carolina's beaches...:)

Nice shot Sam. That bird has created quite a buzz, I fear there's going to be a paparazzi mad rush(if not already). I'm not far from there and I admit it is tempting. Maybe the activity will send the bird a bit more south to my stretch of beach. :-)

Thanks Everyone..

Nighthound- There are not that many people there. The Birders don't stay very long, the two of Us were alone for over an hour with the Owl before someone showed up.... If You can do it's worth the trip...:)

I was out there today looking for it Steve and it was me and 2 other ladies out there plus the occasional fisherman. I didn't find it today so maybe it did move to your area. :D

Excellent shot, Sam! Tough to control thr whites on that bright sunny beach, but you managed it very nicely! He looks hot, send him home!

Snowy owl on a beach. Pretty cool. And he seems to have quite an expression too.

excellent shot.. Love the eyes on them. I found 2 last weekend and looks like an irruption possibly again this year which means the breeding grounds faired well this year... Thanks for sharing ....

What a great bird and what a great shot. Hitting a beach sounds pretty good about now.
