I have a Sigma EF-500DG super flash that I use with my Canon 7D and Canon T3. I am not sure if the flash has been dropped or something. There appears to be a small chip to the corner of the housing. When I use the flash with either camera, with the cameras set to the AUTO and "P" mode, the pictures comes out over exposed or under exposed. When I am lucky, it comes out fine. Most of the time, under or over exposed with the same shot taken. I noticed that sometimes the flash seems brighter and sometimes not so bright when it is triggered while taking the same shot. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or is it time for a new flash. If its time for a replacement, I am looking for suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Additional information, the display seems to always settle back to 105mm no matter what the zoom lens is set at.
