It's been awhile since I posted some pics on here, but here are some of my more current pictures. The lighting hasn't been so great around here. A lot of overcast and rainy days...check them out. Suggustions always welcome.

I like the fact that every one of the images has a very good exposure.

I have some problems with the perspective in the architectural shots but will concede to your artistic license. The Church House looks like you applied quite a bit of sharpening, which means that it might have gone just a tad over the top.

Very good shots - congratulations.

Bob,
On the Church House, I believe I only sharpened that picture once. I did quite a bit of darkening and contrast though. That might have brought out some of the detail too much. Thanks for the suggestions.

I like the Church House the best. It has a lot of texture to it and has been converted to B&W nicely. I also like the composition and the "framing within a frame".

Good efforts, I felt they deserved more than just a quick glance. My own personal taste tell me that #1 was a bit overexposed. A bit darker would lose some shadow detail, but it is at night, and I think that would be less distracting than the blown out posters. Did you use a tripod on 3 and 4? They seem a bit soft... having said that I have to say that I do like 4, it has a pictorialism feel that keeps you looking at the image to absorb it all.

Wannabee--I agree with you on the first shot of the movie theatre. It does look a little over exposed, and if I made it darker it would take a lot of focus off the advertisements, and more focus on the actual theatre. And no, I did not use a tripod on either #3 or #4. I'm saving up for a 70-200 f/4L and a monopod of B&H.

Thanks for the critique guys...keep them coming.
