Guys, need your advice for a good wide angle prime for a street shot to pair with my 50L. Looking forward a budget manual lens, any idea?

Thinking over 24/2.8, 28/2 or 35/2.

Thanks guys, happy December!

What constitutes budget to you?

I'd suggest the EF 24/2.8 IS without knowing how much you want to spend.

Thanks, BEN. I am looking over anything less than USD300.

Zuiko 24/2.8 for OM system with an adaptor?

Lens goes for about $200 it seems. Here's one:

My most often used manual lens is a 35mm, that said, I'd love to pick up a 28 one of these days.

There are tons of vintage 24, 28 and 35mm lenses. Pick from Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and more... both OEM and third party. For example, there is an excellent 24mm f2 Kiron that also sells under the Vivitar brand... just look for the #22xxxxxx serial number. That lens was offered in most major lens mounts of the day.

These are among the most easily found and adapted.

This page of Bob Atkins web site (external link)might offer some helpful info on adapting lenses.

Don't forget to allow a little of your budget for an adapter: about $20 US for un-chipped, or up to about $40 for a "chipped" (if you want Focus Confirmation to work).
