Finally, I've got the used 5d mkii, went from 50d. It has 3rd party battery grip and batteries. Since, I would need 4 more batteries, should I go 3rd party batteries or 8 Sanyo AAs? (I know oem canon is good but too much money for now...). I already have charger and 4 AAs for flash. Which one will last longer? I know 3rd party batteries are not reliable....

Also, 5d mkii has very chuncky, metal sound... is it broken or something? (I hope not...). I might bring it to local camera dealers to see....

Please let me know your opinions!

Why would you use AA batteries in a camera? I know they include a tray, but I've always thought of that as an emergency backup option. Just get a couple of batteries from a good vendor like SterlingTek. Lithium has a higher energy density than NiMh.

$14 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com …ttery-2600/dp/B005DEHVC8/ (external link)

Wasabi's are also really good 3rd party batteries. I also have some Canon and Flashpoint batteries, but I think the Wasabi's are better then the other two.

It's not the third party batteries that are not reliable, it's the counterfeit batteries that are the problem batteries.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?
