Canon 70D @ B&H for under 1K

So I was looking around for a 70D and the lowest price I found was 1050.00
Then I noticed that B&H was offering the camera for 1050.00 but they are including an 16GB card and a 50 1.8. You can easily sell off the lens to get your cost down below 1K.
Offer ends on Saturday

Definitely a good deal, even if the 50 1.8 is an inexpensive lens.

the question is do i spend the extra 500 and get the 6d? or do I want to get the 70d and stay on crop frame until they release a 6d with dual pixel 19 point cross type af?

I don't see anywhere that says you will get a 50 1.8?

That's a great deal. I was an early adapter, but I don't mind having paid the premium (to the point above).

If the dual pixel AF system is what you wanter then why wait? Plus $500 is still a 50% price premium.

What do you shoot primarily?

On Amazon this morning:

70D is $1,049 -$21 = $1028 (2% cash back)
6D is $1415

So less than $400 difference to go full frame. It was a tough choice for me, I went with the 70D for the better AF system, fast focus under live view, don't need to sell my EF-S lenses and buy new. Touch screen, WiFi are nice features too.

If I upgraded to the 6D I would spend $400 more for the body and would need to spend another $1000 after selling my EF-S lenses and buying the new glass I would want.

Or maybe I'll just get the 6d. The AF I can live workout. I'm thinking the low light performance is worth the 500 Imo

6D is $1376 in another marketwatch thread, so less than $500 difference.

haha. 6D won't be replaced for at least another 20 months.

in the mean time I'll enjoy using mine.
