The bright specks in the wall are a bit busy to my eye when combined with all the other elements of the photo. I like the texture, but I'd be tempted to try knocking down the highlights in those areas selectively to de-emphasize them some.
Hi thanks for the CC. I do agree with you, but I'm not sure how I can achieve this without using a clone tool on every speck. I tried to apply a selective adj. brush in LR5 and bring down highlights, but it did not seem to reduce the severity of them individually. I also played with the clarity and contrast on that same adj. brush, but no luck. Any ideas?

I like where you are heading here but I would recommend first finding a theme that will represent more than a single image. a body of work or portfolio in this style. design your series according to the tenants of the theme and then shoot it up. what is your theme?
I really like this idea and it was where my thinking was taking me when I posted it. I'm going to a theme together and go back and make a project out of it
