I picked up this lens the other night and I'm still waiting on my 60d to come in so I can't test it. But, I was cleaning the lens and it sort of felt like it had some side to side play. Like only a tiny bit. How can I fix this?

There are no fake canon 50 1.4s.

The lens is showing why it is a $300 lens and not something more expensive. The play is due to the design of the AF chassis and its cams that ride in the tracks.

Well if this is how it is suppose to be that's good for me.

I was concerned because none of my other lenses did this including my 50 1.8.

went to my local camera dealer and their rental 1.4 has the same slight play / motion. So I wont be concerned anymore.
