I have a fairly healthy selection of panoramic images in my collection that I'd very much like to have printed as big as feasibly possible. Photobox currently print up to 20x8 inches but not all panoramics fit this dimension, similarly I would like some printed to larger dimensions to get full use out of the panoramic format...yes they do look wonderful but i don't think 20x8 does it quite justice enough. is there anywhere that prints bigger in the UK at all?

aside from that which printers could one buy that are capable of printing panoramics i.e. not just an A3 bit of paper cut down but on a roll (i hear tehre are some that do this)...any info I'd be grateful for :)

What size do you want? look at the Epson range of Large Format printers. They are not cheap though!

All the following use rolls and will print you panoramics at the following widths. the also use the latest K3 inks and (if the R2400 is anything to go by) produce stunning results.

Stylus Pro R2400 - 13" wide
Stylus Pro 4800 - 17" wide
Stylus Pro 7800 - 24" wide
Stylus Pro 9800 - 44" wide

How big do you want to go?

dont know if this is a stupid suggestion...... but at uni we have a couple of hp designjet 4000's that print 42" wide. find yourself an architecture student and bribe them! a0 prints cost £9 for us, very cheap, so i guess a couple of these would do your panoramic!

I have had 36x12 panos printed very nicely by Colab: www.colab.co.uk (external link)

What I did was combine two of these, one above the other, as a single 36x24 image for printing. I had already resized to the desired dimensions and resampled them to 300 dpi for printing, and sRGB at their suggestions. Uploaded via their web service software (Crystalpix), 36 hour turnaround, about £30 for the print posted back to me in a tube. Cheaper if you have several done. They use a large format photographic process, not inkjet.

36x12 is a nice size, and the prints look great.
