Hi

This week at the Lights from Dream blog we had the pleasure to interview a really creative Lightpainter: Hannu Huhtamo

Over the years, Hannu has developed a very unique style, which allows him to produce stunning images that seem to come directly from another world.
On the interview you can see some of his photos, read about his gear, some of his thoughts about the future of Light Painting and some other interesting topics.

You can read it here:
LIGHTS FROM DREAMS - Interview with Hannu Huhtamo (external link)
We hope you enjoy it!

...and maybe you can even drop us a comment there on the blog letting us know any thoughts you might have.

Thanks!
=)

Do you have his permission to post those (over sized) images here?

Also: when you post here you should expect to have comments in here.

EDIT: converted the image to URL.

Hi. Well, sorry if i broke any rules, i read them some time ago already. I didn't mean any harm.
(but what rules are you talking about? posting someone else's photos?)

I did have Hannu's permission to post the photos on the blog. we didn't say anything about posting it in forums talking about the blog. So maybe you are right, i shouldn't post it! i'll take it away!

About the comments, i do expect people to comment here on POTN, but that doesn't exclude from commenting there also...
I think nowadays people are getting very disconnect from any content they see on forums/blogs/websites. The net is somewhat "saturated" with great things, and to have something stand out it needs to be really special. But finding out that special something in all the "just-one-more-nice-photo-out-there" isn't always easy.

:)

The rules here are different from "social networking" sites where they let you "share" images. Here, if the images don't "belong" to you or you don't have specific permission to "share" them here, you post a link rather than the image.

It's true that the waters have been muddied a bit, largely due to the activity on those social networking sites, but here a line has been drawn to ensure that photographers are protected!
