Hey guys, me again :)

While on a whitewater kayaking/motorcycling trip in the Great Smokies I took the opportunity to try my hand at some action photography (not one of my strengths). I often find my self discouraged and not wanting to take my camera out to events because I am not a very good photographer when it comes to on-the-go shooting (I think that makes me a bad photographer, period.). I usually miss focus, or don't get everything I want in focus, or my exposure is off, usually all of the above.

BUT, I was particularly proud of myself for these shots and I want to get some CC on them and some advice on shooting moving objects maybe? I don't think I have my servo focus set up properly because it always seems like such a chore to shoot this stuff!

Here they are:

Focus tracking looks quite good - great expressions on their faces gets the moment communicated quite well. Good job!

In shot #3, I thought the young lady in blue on the left was going to go for a swim. Love the shots. I would print them and put them in a multi image frame.

The focus appears spot on. The expressions you captured are priceless. The action is superb.

The first thing I noticed, though, is that the colors pop!

Awesome. Print.

Thanks for sharing....and setting the bar very high for the rest of us.

These absolutely suck! :-P Okay, I don't mean that in the slightest. I wish you had been the photographer when my husband and I went white water rafting. You're shots are WAY better than the one's that I had to buy.

Ok maybe a bit more room on some of the photos to change up the compositions a bit? Slight more room in the direction the raft is moving in will give more of an impression of movement perhaps. IMO of course.
