I tired this over at the official wedding section but nobody was commenting. Maybe I'll have more luck here? I shot my cousins wedding for my first wedding shoot in Colorado Springs, CO at the air force academy. Would love to hear what you guys have to say!

They look good. You captured some key moments and all your shots look well exposed and in focus. The one thing that is off is the white balance. A few have a purple/ magenta cast to them. Did you shoot in raw?

Hi Jack

I love the shots! Nice comp and exposure, and also the moments/emotion you captured are fantastic. My criticsm is on the w/b of the first four shots, it is very purple like the guy above me said - easy fix. Also, the second photo has a little too much heasroom in my opinion, maybe a slight crop?

Looking for to more :)

I agree, I think you did well. I would blame the WB for the 1st shot but the other shots make it look like the venue had a lot of blue and magenta light coming in.

Overall, I think you did very well!

I like the shot of the bride in the doorway, but the sort of industrial looking door and, more importantly, the background kind of ruins the picture.

But I agree that you did a decent job overall.

I'll agree on the white balance, but the stained glass in the USAFA chapel is hard to work with. The colors are beautiful, but hard to shoot.

Because of the location, the background (looking out the door), is fine. That's looking out to the buildings where the cadets spend 4 stressful years. Anyone who has lived there will instantly recognize the buildings and it will bring back memories. Even those of us who have only visited have feelings conjured up by seeing those buildings in the background.

Congrats on capturing their happiness.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Thank you all very much for your comments. It was difficult to shoot in that chapel but I like the way the shots came out. I didn't do too much to them in post, the colors on their faces is how everyone looked to the eye. On a bright sunny day that building shines on the inside.

I agree with the others. It's a nice set. LR has a white balance brush you could try using if you have that software. It would let you at least get their skin looking normal. You allow editing so here's the first one, super quick and super sloppy:

You could go a little further once it's brushed and desaturate a tad:

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)
