I was laying on my couch minding my own business when this Lorikeet landed on my balcony and started yelling at me. If anyone knows what they sound like, they'd know that they aren't the most calming of songbirds so I had to bribe it with some apple and a photo hoping it would keep the "singing" to a minimum.

They do make a lot of noise but their color more than makes up for it. Fun shot and how lucky you are to have these birds visit.

Cool shot! You know that he's going to come back every day now, you're going to need a lot of apples.

Nice. The shallow dof enhances the feeling that he's straining his neck to get a better view of you.

He (or others) as well as cockatoo's and magpies have dropped by a few times before but I try not to feed them everytime as I fear my balcony will not only be a place for them to score a free meal, but also a place for them to paint with their bird sh*t haha.
