I could be wrong, but I think the winner can pick the time zone to end the contest. Great shots everyone...my favorites were Kevan's Geese and kbColorado....I'm still laughing about those pups! Oh and congratulations to Ace and Deuce!

Wow, thanks!! Lots of great, cool pics everyone! I never entered one of these before, and I wasn't expecting to win this one, but I have an idea for the next one...gonna post it now.

Thanks again!

Congrats Ace! A lot of nice images. I thought Alex's lighthouse was delicious.

Congrats to A&D and nice entries from everyone. Thanks to Alan for hosting this week.
My entry is the one of the Hot Springs in Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin. The cool air made the steam thick so it was hard to really see the large blue pool until a little wind came along & gave us a glimpse. In the summertime, when it is warm out, they are much easier to see. :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Yes, the host can pick the date & time (within reason) for the challenge to end. Sometimes the winner is late so the date can be moved up to the one week mark from acknowledging the challenge.

The entries in this contest made me fish out the picture I clicked in 2012 when I went to the Ladhak region the northern most part of India. The pic was taken early morning at 6AM when I was stuck at Rohtang Pass for about 2hrs before we could descend to Manali

Congrats to the winner and all. Fun topic, just right for digging deep into the files. Mine, the Canada geese, was taken at one of my first outings with my then new 7D. The fog was incredible that morning, and I simply followed this very loud goose that wanted the world to know he was there. I got down to the edge of the lake and could barely see them swimming about in the mist. Finally, there they were and with the flap of his wings...click!
