Wow, those flip-open skylights are an easy & quick way to vent a building! I don't think I've ever seen those in the states though.

It gave the fire oxygen for sure...10 min later, the roof was on fire.

I just selected the light and rotated it a little bit (clockwise) and then made it about 5% larger to compensate for where it used to be.

You don't have image editing on, but since you were specifically asking, I'm going to post this anyways (let me know if you want me to take it off).

I don't mind John, thanks...two things though with your edit: #1 is that the Eagle at the foot of the stairs was lost and #2 it appears the yellow walls got some funky color aberration going on...

It's the same image as you posted & shows everything yours does.
I did downsize the entire image a little bit and saved it as a JPEG 6 or 7 to get it under the 150kb file size (I think the one you posted was about 750k).

Yeah, maybe I was seeing things...did you edit it again? I can see the eagle now. But yeah, if you can get the clarity back so that everything is sharp again - you got a winner! You used Photoshop? Elements or CS3/4?

You'll be amazed how much you use it...then you will get used to the wide view and feel like a horse with blinders on when you attach anything else to your camera body.

this and the 100mm are always on mine, i wonder if when i go to full frame will it get as much use.
At 17mm on my xsi its just the perfect look for car shots, any wider will look funny

Nice pics everyone :)

I'm sooooo glad this lense is weathersealed. I was out in a snowstorm yesterday and while my camera was in a plastic-cover of sorts, the lense was exposed to alot of snow.

Just remember that the front element moves and you need a filter on it for complete weather sealing.

Bill is my name - I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity.
