Love the "Not Infrared" shot. It just reminds me of a zombie apocalypse or something. Middle of the day and nobody to be found for miles...

Thanks:)

After looking at every page in this thread i finally succumbed to its charms and ordered one. So when it arrived this morning i had to take it out, despite the Portland Oregon rain. Can't wait to get to know this lens well

Interesting, but can't say that one grabs me. IMHO it needs to be more toonlike, on my monitor it looks like someone wrote on their faces with greasepaint... Might I suggest more PP to "denaturalize" it further?

Another from a couple of days ago...

there were different effects. that one in particular was called "graphic novel", so yes, it's not very "toon-like".

I am thinking about buying one of these tonight for my 7D I just purchased. It would be my walk around/landscape lens. Should I be happy?

I'm growing to really like this lens as a wide angle on a full frame, but I personally wouldn't choose it as a walkaround on a crop, unless I soon intended to get a FF. The Tamron 17-50 (Both VC and Non) and the Sigma 17-50 have greater range, do F2.8, and are, IMO, sharper.

Anyone else here using this lens on a 5D, specifically a 5Dc and having pictures really really soft in the corners at 17mm? Is this normal of this lens or is it a problem I have?

Actually, I just asked about that a few pages back. That's the lens. You have to stop waaaaaaaaaaaay down at 17 for better corners, if even that will help.

That makes me feel better. Rather do that than have to get the lens fixed or replaced.
