Guys what do you think of this lens distortion? are they easy to correct? I will have to do a hotel bedroom shoot and thinking that this is the lens that I will use. Currently I only have the 35L as my widest lens and I dont think its wide enough on FF to cover 90% of the room.

Based on what I have seen in this thread, I dont see many distorted images though, so if there is any lens profile that I could download to correct the distortion, it will be great.

Thanks heaps and keep this thread goin. Im getting this lens this week :)

barrel distortion from this lens is comical, but it can be fixed easily in photoshop. just remember to keep your camera level and the verticals vertical...

I find the distortion isn't too bad, especially if you keep the camera as close to level as possible. The distortion really goes away for me around 25-30mm, but even at 17, it's quite usable. Then again, I'm using a crop body, but I can't see it being that big of a difference. Oh, and for what it's worth, DPP and Photoshop CS5 already have profiles for this lens. I'm sure lightroom and other adobe products do as well.
