Nice shoot, Wimair & Mr. Bill!

edman22, nice angle to capture something uni!

Somewhat I like 17-40L more for the landscape. But I'll keep both for sure.

I don't use 24-105 for family portrait any more as prime dose better job. 24-105L is light, reach telephoto range, which is very handy for travel and telephotography.

135L is very nice for portrait, especially for head shot - I don't have to very close to the subject, and subject is more relax.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely get the 17-40 then the 135 later...

Officially a new owner of this Lens! Thank you all for posting wonderful photos! I couldn't resist...

Took a couple test shots and I am very happy! Can't wait to shoot some travel photography/landscapes...

Quick question: Any users of Lightroom 3, does the Lens profile correction clean up the distortion (in the edges of the frame ex: people/cars) pretty well? I would try it out, but my trial expired and I am waiting for the shipment of my box copy...

Yeah, it does pretty well. Sometimes when I shoot at 17-19, the corners are so weak that when LR3 compensates for vignetting my corners actually turn whitish! In general, though, it does a very good job (when I bother to use it. I actually find I LIKE vignetting, and a bit of WA distortion:))

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to getting my retail copy of LR3... :D

Nice view up there, mjrod1985.

Should go back there to capture the sun rise or sun set.
