I have been using Lightroom from version 2, and I am almost a full pro at Lightroom. I really never learned Photoshop. I can do most basic things in Photoshop, however, in the past year, I have probably opened photoshop 2 times to work on images. I really feel like for most of what I do, I really dont ever need to open photoshop. I could probably live with having lightroom alone.

How many people use Lightroom exclusively?

Voted.
In terms of time spent, Lightroom may be 99%.
In terms of finished images, Lightroom is probably 95%.

Everithing I deliver goes through Lightroom for ease of basic colour / exposure correction and resizing.

Where images need detail replacement rather than adjustment I go into PS.

I think you need a 90-95% Lightroom, but still need to take that 5-10% of images into PS for layers and other things only a pixel editor can do. Yeha and whats with the greater than 100% thing?

I use lightroom to process my raw files and for snapshots, photoshop for all real editing.

All my photos are uploaded through Lightroom and edited in it, but if I need to clone something out or "fix" something, I finish it in Photoshop. I feel Photoshop has far superior cloning tools.

PS only if I really need to change an image, really manipulate it as in replace a head, take something out, duplicate things or what ever. For regular editing I never open it, see no reason to do so. I use plugins like Nik and OnOne more than PS nowadays.

I prefer iPhoto and Aperture over Lightroom. I still use photoshop for detailed editing though.

Greater than 100%?

When I'm not using Lightroom, I am daydreaming about using Lightroom, reading books about Lightroom, and giving long monologues about Lightroom to anyone who will listen. Mostly my cats, as I've driven away all my wife and friends due to my obsession with Lightroom.

I think some people who chose the first option may not be telling the truth. ;-)a

I try to do 100% in Lightroom. I really don't do the type of work that requires major fixes. Most are just minor color tweaks and light retouching. LR5 really lets you do a lot.

Since I have so little need for PS I don't even own a copy. (Well none of you own a copy but that is a different subject.) Once or twice a year I need to use GIMP to fix something that LR can't handle.

No, I never claimed to be outstanding in the field of photography. I said I was out standing in the field taking photos.

The poll does not have an appropriate answer for me.

I use LR 100% of the time to make first pass edits at the raw conversion stage, and about 90% of the time I shoot it through PS for final polishing.

I spend about 95% of my editing time in PS, but everything gets touched in some way in LR first.
