Sometimes it is almost impossible to get some of these ducks close enough even if you have them in your area. Well, I was having just that trouble and grew impatient. On a trip to St Louis to visit family I dropped by the zoo and visited the aviary there to cheat a little. I know zoo shots aren't quite the same as "earning" them in the wild but they will certainly give you the opportunity to at least get some. If I had some kind of post processing I could have eliminated the leg tags and no one would have known but me. Guess it is all what you really enjoy, some decent shots of hard to catch subjects or the chase of those subjects. Anyway, here they are.

Maybe they wouldn't qualify for publishing in a wildlife mag, but just for enjoying their beauty these are very nice shots. Glad you shared them.

They're definitely nice. The fact that you claimed them as captive shows your respect and I appreciate that.
