Is this an immature hooded merganser?

Open to comment/suggestions.

I don't have the details with me but this is close:
Camera - EOS XSi
Lens - Tamron 70-300 (Non VC) - Cheap Lens
F5.6
ISO 400

Canon 60d - Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II - Tamron 17-50 F2.8 VC - Thrifty 50

This is a young female Hooded Merganser.

Nice shot. Exposure and color look good. I would suggest a crop with her more to the left of the frame with her just above center vertically. It would be nice to have a bit more foreground.

Thanks. I was fairly pleased especially considering it was taken free hand from a kayak at 300mm with no image stabilization on the lens. For a $199 lens I have been able to still get some pretty good captures. Thanks for the cropping advice, I will play around with different crops in LR5 tonight.
