At the time of this posting, B&H is selling the Canon 85 1.8 for $319 w/ free shipping. (You have to add it to your cart to see the $319 price.) According to CanonPriceWatch, this is the lowest price dating back to at least 2008. The only time I've seen a better deal was when folks were able to use the $50 coupon that GearShop was offering up about a month ago.

If you're in the market for this lens, now is a great time to buy!

And the 50mm f/1.4 USM is $299. Great prices!

Sure would make a nice addition to my prime collection. At that price it's hard to resist.

Certainly not, unless a faster autofocus is required for things like sports, etc.

I ordered it from Amazon just yesterday for that price; didn't know it was that historically low but I couldn't resist. It arrives today, although I had chosen 2-day Prime shipping. Gotta love that.

Most of my Amazon purchases arrive in one day too. (Even though I select Prime 2-day shipping.) Gotta love that!

Enjoy the new lens!

Just out of curiosity, does one shipper get more of Amazon's business than the others?

Yes. It seems that OnTrac makes 90% of the Amazon deliveries to me.
