Advice on a printer for mailers

Heya,

I'm wondering if there are any colour laser printers out there (not Samsung/Brother) that are not too expensive and can print with enough good quality for targeted advertising mailers. Mind, were I printing more than 100 pieces, I'd turn to my printing company (which charges ~80 dollars for 100 copies, full colour, one-sided, machine folded flyer); but if, say there're only 3 flower shoppes in the city, why would I need 100 flyers? So, I was thinking if a laser printer would fit the bill for this. Anyone knows or has a good colour laser printer?

I don't know about lasers, but I would suggest looking at the Canon ip4920. You can buy it for about $100 (with full ink carts) and it prints color well enough for real photo work and has a pigment black tank that does very well with text. The 4920 will do high quality, low volume work at a reasonable cost (for low volume) without that laying on top of the paper look of a laser.
