Thanks. Yes open wide is pretty darn good. He is tagged. I didn't notice until I went to LR to post-process the picture.

I had to pay to ship to Tamron,they ship back 3 day UPS and cover it.

While in Sitka last weekend I went to the Raptor center and they let this one take a bath in the river with a handler of course :) so I was able to get a close up shots.

where in Washington are you Peter? I live in northwest Montana by Glacier park and we have quite a few Eagles in this area. there really isn't any one spot to see them. Well other than spawning time and those area's are closed at that time of year.

Renton WA nearby Seattle airport. I love photographing Eagles, during winter I go to Concrete Wa about 2 hours drive from where I live. Nov to early march couple hundreds eagles from Canada and Alaska migrates along Skagit river.
