Hi all,

I could use some help posting a few photos here from Flickr. I managed to do it a month ago, but can't get it to work now.

Here is the HTML code I copied from Flickr
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/26279761@N03/13760409934" title="IMG_5142 by glockamole, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7433/13760409934_59141a5f23_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_5142"></a>

This is what I get after I use the insert image command here.

Thanks, Peter. I'm a little slow at times. Weather is finally starting to turn around and I'm getting to practice a bit with this lens. I'm really enjoying it.

No prob. Beautiful captures. Man that cardinal shot is awesome. That is something I really like to photograph. This lens is really good. I am now getting used to handholding it. Maybe because I can see clearly now the rain is gone :) :).

Nice to see something other than birds. And in that same frame of mind, here's something different from me.

I tried my Kenko DGX TelePlus Pro 1.4x tonight after I got home. Unfortunately it never did clear off, so the light was rather dim. I think I got it to lock AF a couple of times out of 15 or so tries; most of the time it just cycled the full focus range from one end to the other without stopping when it got to the focus point, even on fairly high contrast targets. I will try it again when I get some brighter light. The sharpness seemed to hold up fairly well when I focused manually.

I went ahead and got the same TC archer, kenko teleplus DGX pro 1.4x their latest version with the blue dot. I will try it this weekend. And it was a great deal. :)
Thanks archer for your help. Now I am selling my 2.0x kenko and the canon 1.4x II.

Thanks archer for your help. Now I am selling my 2.0x kenko and the canon 1.4x II.

The sun was out today, so I tried the 1.4x again when I got home from work about 17:30. In the brighter light, it had no trouble locking AF; it got probably better than 90% of my attempts. The 2x didn't fare so well; I never got it to lock. I suspect that the 2x might lock AF in bright mid-day sun, though.

The sharpness seemed to hold up fairly well when I manually focused with the 2x, hand held using 5X live view. I'm sure I could get better if it were on a tripod:

The focus point was the small white spot on the bar:
