Very nice capture.. No doubt...
One thing though, I first thought there is a heavy noise reduction applied, but then I saw it is ISO 100. I was expecting to see the highlights on his neck feathers. May be I am wrong.. (Sorry, don't mean to critic)

Good eye! I blew the highlights out a and its a super deep crop. I have heavy feet and he was pretty shy. I printed a copy at 13x19 and it looks pretty good though. Here is the original.

Went to the Juanita Park today (w/ 70-200 + 2x extender). First parked at wrong side of the bay. On second try I found the pole that I've seen on Peter's photos. Spent almost 10 minutes but didn't see a bird.

I'm confident he's just photoshopping the birds on his pictures.

my guess is that Peter spends much, much more than 10 minutes waiting on the birds. (but like everyone else here I am kinda thinking the taxidermist thing too lol)
