i agree with peter. if you can closely crop it, having only the subject in frame ... it might become more interesting.. just my two cents...

Is there any way to see what firmware version is in the lens and what is the latest version number?

This is some of my first photos I have taken yesterday with my new camera Canon 5d Mk3. Very impressed but still need to do some fine tuning.

Piet thosr are very nice shots! I'm considering a 5d mk3 so I can AF at f8 and get better AF tracking than my 6d but better low light than 70d.

Nice lure coursing shots Tanya, #2 is awesome. Interesting they are using chewies for a lure instead of the plastic bag.

Hi JV. so far I am very happy with the results I am getting. Still busy setting up the camera, have done the micro adjustment on the Tamron 150-600 today, W+4 and T-1, and I am happy with the results. Also test the lens with a 1.4 extender and the lens auto focused all the way from 150 to 600 @ f/7.1. Will try the auto focus on more setting tomorrow.

Just curious, which TC are you using?

I am using a Kenco 1.4X Teleplus Pro 300 DG. The Canon TC do not fit the Tamron lens.

Will try and go out for some photos next week end. Have tested the lens with the Kenko 1.4X up to f/40 and it auto focus all the way up to 600mm. Just make sure you have good contrast at 600mm for a quick focus.
The only thing I do not like is if the lens and the TC are fitted to camera it only see the lens and not the TC as well, so that you cannot do the micro adjustment and save it as a second set. maybe there is a way that I am not aware of.
