Shooting hummers the past couple of days in very poor light (very cloudy) required fairly high ISO for the in-flight pics. So, they're noisy. All were at 500mm except the first at 600mm. The in-flight shots were from 9'-9.5' working distance. The perched, about 11-12'.

I am on same page with you on Better beamer with tammy. The color temperature shows some variations and mostly over exposed. I tend to used 50MM zoom head and flash compensate by +-1/3. Why not do some variations as you are pretty darn good at controlling exposer as you have some awesome pictures at your flickr page :)
