Guys, another request.

Could you post your serial numbers (I don't need the last 3 digits so you can put xxx for the last 3), and also post the date when you received/purchased it.

thank you!

Mine is 005xxx. I'd assume mine had the updated firmware. Bought it used so I'm not sure; if I understand the only way to know is by sending it to Tamron correct?

Mine's actually 020xxx, so it seems pretty recent.
Still, the 5DIII center point issue is puzzling... Tested my wife's T4i with the lens, works perfectly. I also have a 5Dc but I'm sure that will also work perfectly with the lens.
thank you for the responses.

Yeah, it works fine on my 70D too. The first one I had a year ago had issues on this same camera.

Anyone else using it with 5D3? Any center point issues when focusing on bright subjects?

Cool eagle!

This Killdeer was on the roadside on the way home today. Not often I catch them in green grass. I thought it made a nice contrast with the colors of the bird.

006nnn April 2014. Works fine on 6D, AF is fine but seem to lose sharpness over 400mm on 50D, very fast AF and sharp on 1D4.

Has had firmware upgrade (also had USM drive replaced without knowing anything was wrong with it - apparently it was showing some signs of heating up when inspected at time of firmware update)

A coupla bodies and a few lenses

My Tamron was purchased in March 2012. Serial # 005xxx. It had trouble with the 7D AI Servo and AF. So I sent it back for the firmware fix on lens and now with my 7D Mark 11 it is great, very fast focus!
