Got my lens back last week and did not get a chance for panning yet but I tried it from our backyard.

Very cool, congratulations Peter. That first one looks like he's wearing a bow-tie!

Well deserved Peter! Excellent shots! I love the Flicker with his "bow tie" :D

Very nice.
We will be in Orlando (Canaveral) for our Western Caribbean cruise and will have a few days for birding. Can you see Spoonbills all year round in Fl?

I am not sure about Orlando but we seem to have them a good part of the year. We are about 160 miles southeast of Orlando and on the East Coast. This last two weeks I have seen a bunch of them in Boynton Beach. That being said, I didn't see any there this morning! But I did this past Friday. And I saw a bunch of them this past February.

You might try the BirdsEye app, I use that one on my phone, or try some of the birder groups. Certainly check with someone local and more knowledgeable than I am, I'm still a beginner at birding.!!

Ed

Great shot Dave.

Thanks Peter, I mfa'd to +5, had a lot of grain and missed focus at 600mm, seems to have helped. Need some better light now.
