+1 with Levina. Awesome set George, I can not wait to have the 7D2. Looks great with that combo.

My first snowy, not only first photo but the first time I've seen one.

7DII 100% crop. It was out there.

Congratulations on the snowy. We went a hour north of Montreal this past January just to see them. It is a spectacular animal.
I think the boss is scheming another trip to Canada this February to the famous Owl Woods on Amherst Island.

Thank you Peter! Yes, the 7D2 is a great camera, and the combination with the Tamron feels great since it's very portable. You will have much better AF with your big lens (500f4), as well. The good thing with the Tamron, though, is that it is much easier to follow a fast bird-in-flight, since it is much lighter than the big white guys.

Great that is really nice to hear. When I am ready for the 7D2 my next QUESTION to you will be..What are your setting in WILDLIFE and BIRD IN FLIGHT ;)

I feel jealous every time I see photos of the owls! Especially the snowy one. When I was studying in Canada many years ago I wasn't into photographying birds, now I don't have the money to visit Canada! I think the snowy owl exists in (far) northern Europe, as well.

Peter, is the owl in your post a short-eared owl?
